Vision MOVE Land Update

We are happy to announce that on Monday, October 10th 2011 the church finally signed the transfer documents for the Land and should be getting the Title Deed in a few weeks time.

In light of this the following people were appointed to be trustees to hold the Title Deed on behalf of the Church pending official registration:

2. James Muthee
3. Esther Karanja 
4. Godfrey Ikanda

Please Join us in Praising God for this awesome big step towards the MOVE into the community!

Vision MOVE Prayer for Thursday 1st September 2011

Read the following verse and pray for the Church and the Fundraiser coming up this weekend! Pray that the FOCUS of the day will be the Lord and His Glory!

Tuesday August 30th Vision MOVE Prayers

We pray that our identity will not be a building and the money we raise on that Day but in Christ Jesus.

Col 3:1-4 1 If then ye were raised together with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated on the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are upon the earth. 3 For ye died, and your life is hid with Christ in God. 4 When Christ, who is our life, shall be manifested, then shall ye also with him be manifested in glory.

Prayer Guide

The Bible commands us to pray without ceasing (I Thess. 5:17). These coming weeks before the Vision MOVE Fund Raiser we want to pray not only as a family or individuals but as a church for this BIG DAY! We want the church to get excited about it IN PRAYER! Following is a guide to help us as we pray:

Sunday August 28^th                             Pray that the giving towards Vision MOVE wont be a burden but a Joy – for the Lord loves a cheerful giver 2 Cor 9:7

Monday August 29^th                           As we pray let us remember that the provider of all things is God and so focus on Him Eph 3:20

Vision MOVE Prayer for Saturday 27th 2011

Pray that our Church will commit to PRAYING for this day and Vision Fervently!

Acts 2:42 And they continued steadfastly in...prayers.

Phil 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Prayer at the Church

For those of you who are able and willing - we will congregate at the Word of Life Fellowship Church this evening to Pray together for the Vision MOVE fundraiser. Come at 6:15PM and PRAY with other Jesus trusting believers!

As you have been faithful in praying individually for Vision MOVE please come so that we can join together in praying that this DAY will be about our Lord Jesus and His purpose for having us in here Ukunda.

Vision MOVE PRAYER Friday August 26th

Exodus 33:15-16 Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”

Let this be our prayer today - that this MOVE will have the full backing of God and if doesn't that we will not force issues. Let it be a movement towards God as well.

Vision MOVE Prayer for Wednesday 24th 2011

Pray that all this will be done for the Glory of God and not for the FAME of Word of Life Fellowship Church

1 Cor. 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.


 Col 3:17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Tuesday August 23^rd                           Pray that this Vision will remain about the Great Commission – the evangelism and discipleship of Ukunda Community Matthew 28:18 – 20

Wednesday August 24^th                     Pray that all this will be done for the Glory of God and not for the FAME of Word of Life Fellowship Church 1 Cor. 10:31; Col 3:17;

Thursday August 25^th                         Pray that we will look up to God for help and not the “impressive” Guest List on that Day. Psalm 121.

Exciting Vision MOVE UPDATE!

We had Vision MOVE lunch at the Church on Sunday the 12th to thank the Congregation for their contribution to the vision to move the Church to Ukunda! We are happy to announce that we have already reached the halfway mark towards the 2 Million Shillings to buy the 2 acre land at Kona Ya Musa.  The Word of Life Congregation have raised 1 million Kenya shillings and we PRAISE the ALMIGHTY God for this great thing He has done for the Church through His people. 

The Congregation was also asked to recommit and pledge again this year so we can raise the money we need to finish paying the remaining 1Million. We pray that God will provide for His people so that His people can give to His Work so that the Gospel presence can be felt more strongly in this place that it is so desperately needed! 

Thank you for everyone who has participated and continues to participate in this Vision to Move the Church to Ukunda! May the Lord richly bless you as you responded to this really amazing and exciting Vision!

Letter From the Pastor!

Dear Word of Life Fellowship Church Members, 

Praise God! I pray that this note finds you well and blessed. Last year we introduced Vision MOVE to you – the Vision of Moving the church to Ukunda where the Church can strategically be situated to minister to the Community in more tangible ways.

After much prayer and searching for land we found one in Kona ya Musa. The 2 acre piece of land was valued at a reasonable price of 1 million per acre. I am proud to announce to the glory of God that we have raised One Million shilling to secure the first acre. This was possible because of your faithful, generous, consistent and sacrificial giving to this course.

I would like to personally thank you so much for your obedience to this call that I believe to be God’s will for our church. You have responded well and I pray that the Lord will bless you and your family as we continue to wait on Him to see the great and mighty things He will do for our church as you continue to give generously to this vision.

VISION MOVE UPDATES

The Church wrote a Ksh.250,000.00 check to the land owners last Sunday. This brings the total of the sum paid to Ksh.850,000.00 and the balance to Ksh.1,150,000.00 to the glory of God!

VISION MOVE UPDATES

Dinner:

Exciting things are happening on the Vision MOVE front! The leadership of Vision MOVE in conjunction with some Word of Life Fellowship Church members put together a dinner at the Coral Cottages on the night of April 16th 2011 to fund raise for the Vision MOVE project. 

The dinner cost per person is Ksh.600 ($7.50) and the proceeds will go towards buying the land where the future Word of Life Fellowship Church will be. 

Please pray with us as we look forward to that day that it will well attended and that people will well informed and updated on the reasons why we feel strongly that the Church should reside within the community. 

There will also be a Keynote speaker to speak on the topic of various relationships including marriage, singleness etc

MAJOR FUNDRAISER:

Vision MOVE committee is also planning a major fundraiser in July to offset the debt (currently at 1.4 Million or $17,500) that we owe on the land. Pray that the day will be successful and that our church members will not be tired of toiling for Jesus in faithful giving.
